MALVERN, PA — Security technology company 3Si has appointed former Amazon Chief Physical Security Officer TJ Klomp to its advisory board as the Malvern-based business expands a crime intelligence platform that transmits real-time incident information directly to police dispatch centers.
Klomp spent more than 25 years at Amazon, where he helped develop global physical security operations, protective intelligence capabilities and emergency response programs. His appointment gives 3Si an adviser with experience managing security across large corporate operations and responding to criminal incidents as a police officer.
Before joining Amazon, Klomp served with the Kirkland Police Department in Washington, working as a detective, undercover officer and SWAT team member.
His appointment comes as 3Si expands DirectToDispatch, a system designed to connect private-sector security information with law enforcement communications networks.
The platform delivers verified crime intelligence to police dispatch centers, including video, audio, GPS location data, suspect descriptions and information about potential weapons.
The technology is intended to provide responding officers with additional situational awareness before they arrive at an incident.
According to 3Si, its crime intelligence services currently reach more than 10,400 law enforcement agencies across North America.
Klomp will advise the company on technology development, strategic partnerships and the expansion of its security intelligence capabilities.
“As a detective and SWAT officer, I knew what it was like to walk into a scene without enough information,” Klomp stated. “DTD addresses that challenge by getting officers critical information before they arrive.”
His background also includes overseeing corporate security programs intended to protect employees, facilities and business operations across Amazon’s global network.
Matt Kushner, chief executive officer of 3Si, identified Klomp’s experience in both law enforcement and corporate security as particularly relevant to the company’s expansion.
The appointment adds operational expertise to 3Si’s advisory board as the company develops systems that integrate business security intelligence with police response operations.
