EXTON, PA — On January 19, Chester County families gathered for a hint of summer at the Chester County Intermediate Unit’s (CCIU) Summer Adventure Camp and Activities Fair hosted at Church Farm School in Exton, PA.
The Summer Adventure Camp and Activities Fair, organized and sponsored by the CCIU, brought together over 50 local vendors, including summer camps, craft vendors, educational programs, sports organizations and more. This year’s event also included a photo booth, visits from vendor mascots and live reptiles!
Now in its 11th year, this free event provides the opportunity for families from all over the county to hear from local vendors that align with their child’s interests or needs and receive additional information. Vendors even included interactive activities and promotional items to keep the kids in attendance engaged all night.
“This event is always a success, but this year was a night to remember, despite the inclement weather,” said Jay Della Ragione, special events coordinator for the CCIU. “The vendors and families brought good energy that left a lasting impression on everyone. The evening was full of laughs, smiles and plenty of summer fun!” Della Ragione said with excitement.
“The Summer Camp Fair is an awesome event that the CCIU holds yearly. Being a mother of two elementary students, it’s nice to know that there is a night dedicated to getting a jump-start on your summer plans. We were impressed to see the variety of camps and vendors available in our community. What makes this night even better is that it’s such an interactive experience, making it the perfect family evening,” said a parent.
The night concluded with two giveaways, a YETI cooler full of CCIU promotional items for the vendors, and two camper raffles, which included two (2) movie tickets and $10 in concessions.
