PHILADELPHIA, PA — Get ready for awe-inspiring performances as FringeArts and the Circadium School of Contemporary Circus present the sixth annual Hand to Hand circus festival. From May 31 to June 2, 2024, Philadelphia will become the stage for a dazzling display of circus arts at the FringeArts Theatre.

This year’s festival highlights the incredible talents of local circus performers in a series of family-friendly events. “Begin Again,” running from May 31 to June 1, will showcase Circadium’s finest students in a mesmerizing original work. Under the artistic direction of Oregon’s Ty Vennewitz, this piece explores the artist’s journey through time with acts including juggling, aerials, acrobatics, clowning, and more.

On June 2, “Test Flights” will offer a glimpse into the future of circus arts with new works-in-progress from some of Philadelphia’s most beloved circus artists. This unique event encourages experimentation, blending circus skills with theater, dance, music, and more.

Shana Kennedy, Circadium Executive Director, expressed excitement about expanding the boundaries of contemporary circus through Hand to Hand. “This festival is our playground for discovery and innovation in the world of circus-theatre,” Kennedy stated.

Tickets are now available, with general admission priced at $25 and special rates for FringeArts and FringeACCESS members. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the thrill of contemporary circus and support local artists in their exploration of this dynamic art form.

Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking performances that challenge gravity, test perceptions, and celebrate the timeless allure of the circus. Join us at the FringeArts theatre for a weekend of enchantment and wonder at the Hand to Hand circus festival.
