WAYNE, PA — The Bryn Mawr Hospital Women’s Board is hosting an evening of cocktails, lite fare, fashion and shopping at Boyds’ exciting new location in Wayne on Thursday, October 13 from 6-9 p.m. to raise awareness about mental health issues. The fundraiser will feature a fashion show and fabulous designs by Parisian fashion house Maison Rabih Kayrouz. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Behavioral Health programs and services.

“We continue to be in the midst of a behavioral health crisis. One in four members of our community grapples with a mental health issue — translating to over 375,000 individuals in our immediate area alone,” said Barbara Messaros, nurse manager of the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Bryn Mawr Hospital. “With a more than a 220% increase in mental health visits to our emergency departments over the past five years, our new and expanded inpatient behavioral health unit at Bryn Mawr Hospital was a critical step to address the unmet needs in our community, and it was made possible in large part due to community philanthropy. With ongoing support for our full spectrum of behavioral health services at Bryn Mawr Hospital, we can further expand and tailor our programs and services, continue to recruit and train our highly-specialized staff, and hopefully reach and treat more people at an earlier stage of their mental health needs.”

The event takes place at Boyds Wayne, located at 201 W. Lancaster Ave. Tickets are $125 per person.  For more information, visit https://one.bidpal.net/rsvp/welcome.
