PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Runners, walkers, and four-legged friends will once again take over the rolling hills of Main Line Animal Rescue this spring as one of the region’s favorite pet-friendly traditions returns for its 15th year.
The Pennsylvania SPCA’s Main Line Animal Rescue site will host the annual Tails & Trails 5K Run/2K Walk on Saturday, May 9, bringing together animal lovers from across the Delaware Valley for a morning of fitness, fundraising, and furry companionship.
Held on MLAR’s scenic 60-acre property in Phoenixville, the event welcomes participants of all ages and athletic abilities—including kid-friendly dogs and dog-friendly kids—for a community celebration supporting the rescue and care of abused, abandoned, and unwanted animals.
A Scenic Course With a Purpose
Participants in the 5K can expect a cross-country course filled with rolling hills, spring scenery, and views of the countryside surrounding the rescue’s sprawling farm property.
For those looking for a more relaxed pace, the 2K walk offers a family-friendly option that still supports MLAR’s lifesaving mission.
Organizers say attendees can also create personal fundraising pages through the registration site, with top fundraisers recognized during the event’s post-race awards ceremony.
More Than a Race
Beyond the run and walk, the event promises a festival atmosphere with music, raffles, adoptable animals, a kids’ corner, and a beer garden opening after the race festivities conclude.
Can’t make it to Phoenixville in person? Virtual registration options allow supporters to participate from wherever they are—whether that’s a neighborhood sidewalk, local park, or favorite trail.
