VALLEY FORGE, PA — The Washington Memorial Heritage and David Cross and Indispensable Leadership (LLC) have announced an exclusive author event with Renowned Writer and Historian William “Larry” Kidder as part of its popular “Lead Like George Leadership Forum” Series. The author event with William “Larry” Kidder will be held at the Washington Memorial Chapel (Rt. 23 Valley Forge Park, Valley Forge, PA) on Thursday, August 11 at 6 PM.
During the evening, Kidder will discuss his critically-acclaimed book Ten Crucial Days: Washington’s Vision for Victory Unfolds, which addresses George Washington’s run up to the Washington Crossing of the Delaware and the ensuing victories in and around Trenton. Immediately hailed as a classic and the book readers and scholars go to learn about this seismic event, Ten Crucial Days was written by Kidder through meticulous primary source research and masterful storytelling. He is credited with correcting the record and presents what is now known about how Washington exploited his enemy’s hubris by leading his upstart army in daring maneuvers that humiliated His Majesty’s forces in just 10 short days that changed the course of history.
Following the discussion, Kidder will sign copies of his book for attendees during a VIP wine reception. The book signing and reception will be held in the Lafayette Room of the Chapel from 7:45 PM to 8:30 PM.
The Washington Memorial Heritage Leadership Forum Series is a History/Leadership and Author Events Program that kicked off earlier this year at the Washington Memorial Chapel. Drawing upon America’s Revolutionary history, the program examines the challenges and decisions faced by the country’s Founders. Analyzing their experiences, the program provides lessons which help attendees in their business and personal life.
The price will be $20 per person per session; students with proof of student status will be admitted free.
