SALT Performing Arts Presents CATS!

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — SALT Performing Arts presents the Tony Award-winning CATS, based on T. S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats with a magnificent musical score composed by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber.

One of the longest-running shows in the West End and Broadway history, CATS is set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground. The musical is about the Jellicle Cats, who come out to play on one special night of the year – the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.

Performances run October 19th through November 4

“I am thrilled to be creating some kitty cat magic with a multi-talented cast, crew and pit,” says Renee Chambers-Liciago, CATS Director. “Although Cats is one of the most popular musicals in musical theater history, having been performed around the world many times and has been translated into more than 20 languages, we have added some of our own “SALT” spice to present to you a fun and feline fierceness of this production. Visually, you’ll be blown away by our set, costumes, and make-up!”
