PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Colonial Theatre will host a slate of live music, comedy, and cultural events throughout April and May, offering a diverse spring lineup aimed at drawing community audiences to the historic venue.
Programming begins Saturday, April 4, with EUROPA, a tribute band performing music associated with Carlos Santana, followed by a staged reading of “Shakespeare in Love” on April 9 as part of the theatre’s Parlour Reading Series.
Additional April events include the return of “Colonial 54,” a 1970s-themed disco experience on April 10, and an April 11 comedy show featuring Frank Vignola, Coleman Green, and Alea Wright.
The theatre will also host “Poets of Phoenixville” on April 12 in recognition of National Poetry Month, alongside a Tony Bennett tribute performance by Eddie Bruce the same day. The Launch, a Philadelphia-based tribute band, is scheduled to perform April 25.
The lineup continues into May with Van Halen Nation performing May 2, followed by a folk music set from Chester County musician Dan Pell on May 16, and a YES tribute concert by Total Mass Retain on May 30.
Jennifer Carlson, executive director of the Colonial Theatre, said the programming is designed to bring people together through live entertainment.
“This season is really about creating opportunities for people to come together and experience live entertainment in a way that feels welcoming and accessible,” Carlson said.
The Colonial Theatre, located at 227 Bridge Street, operates multiple venues within its historic complex and hosts more than 70,000 patrons annually through film screenings, live performances, and community events.
