MEDIA, PA — Delaware County Community College graduate Robyn Pate has received a full-tuition transfer scholarship covering two years at Neumann University, giving the 2026 honors graduate a tuition-free path to continue studying psychology after earning her associate degree in May.
Pate plans to major in psychology at Neumann and ultimately pursue a career as a psychologist.
“I have always been fascinated by the brain and how it works, and by human behavior,” Pate stated. “My ultimate career goal is to become a psychologist.”
Pate, who is of Jamaican heritage, participated in DCCC’s Black Student Union and founded a yoga club while attending the college.
“It became a great success and learning experience,” Pate stated of establishing the organization.
She also volunteers through her church, describing helping others as a longstanding personal goal.
The Transfer Partnership Full-Tuition Scholarship reflects one route available to DCCC graduates seeking to continue their education at four-year institutions. The college maintains transfer agreements designed to allow students to move from associate degree programs into further undergraduate study.
