DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Summer may still be months away, but families across Chester County will soon have a chance to map out the season at a major one-stop planning event designed to spark ideas and open doors to new opportunities for students.
The Chester County Summer Adventures Camp and Activities Fair will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, 455 Boot Road in Downingtown. Admission is free, and the event is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade and their families.
Organizers say the fair brings together a wide range of camps, programs, and community organizations in one place, allowing families to meet directly with representatives, ask questions, and gather information to help plan an engaging and rewarding summer. Past fairs have featured everything from summer schools and tutoring programs to theater, sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventure camps.
“This event brings families together with the people and programs that help make summer meaningful for students of all ages,” said Jay Della Ragione, special events coordinator for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. “From enrichment opportunities to creative and recreational experiences, the Chester County Summer Adventures Camp and Activities Fair gives families a chance to explore what’s available in their community and start building a summer that fits their child’s interests and goals.”
The fair is sponsored by CCRES Educational and Behavioral Health Services, which works with schools and families across the region to support students’ academic and emotional development.
A snow date has been set for Thursday, January 29, 2026, if severe weather forces a postponement.
