WEST CHESTER, PA — State Representative Chris Pielli announced that Good Fellowship Ambulance in West Chester will receive $453,672 in loans from the Office of the State Fire Commissioner. The funding, part of the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Loan Program, will assist in the purchase of three new ambulances, ensuring the organization has up-to-date vehicles to continue providing critical emergency services to the community.
“Our Fire and EMS companies need modern equipment to save lives,” said Rep. Pielli. “They cannot afford to make do with aging equipment when the wellbeing of our neighbors is on the line. I want to thank the Office of the State Fire Commissioner for providing Good Fellowship Ambulance the necessary funds to acquire three new ambulances so they may continue their great work in keeping the people of Chester County safe.”
The loans, which carry a fixed 2% interest rate, are designed to support fire and emergency medical services companies across Pennsylvania in acquiring, rehabilitating, or improving essential apparatus, facilities, and equipment. The specific allocation of funds includes the following purchases for Good Fellowship Ambulance:
- $161,860 for a 2023 Ford F-550 4×4 Life Line Type III Ambulance (Model 158 Paraliner)
- $146,418 for a 2024 Ford E-450 Life Line Type III Ambulance (Model 158 Paraliner)
