LANCASTER, PA — Trout CPA climbed 12 positions to No. 178 in INSIDE Public Accounting’s 2026 ranking of the 200 largest U.S. accounting firms, extending a six-year run on the list as the Lancaster-based firm expands its advisory capabilities.
The firm ranked No. 190 in 2025. INSIDE Public Accounting compiles the annual list using net revenue reported through its IPA Practice Management Survey.
Trout CPA has expanded beyond traditional accounting and tax work into outsourced accounting, transaction advisory and specialized consulting as it seeks greater regional scale.
“Our growth allows us to bring greater industry expertise and broader capabilities to clients throughout their business lifecycle while preserving the high-touch relationships, continuity and accountability they value,” Managing Partner Todd Harrington said.
The firm has also continued investing in personnel and industry-focused expertise as it broadens its service offerings.
The 2026 ranking marks Trout CPA’s sixth consecutive appearance among INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 200 firms.
