PHILADELPHIA, PA — Penn Mutual has promoted Bill Bell to chief product officer and added him to its Enterprise Leadership Team, elevating product strategy within the life insurer’s senior leadership structure as it seeks closer alignment between product development and sales.
Bell will lead Penn Mutual’s integrated product organization, including product development and advanced sales. His responsibilities include product strategy and coordinating the company’s product and sales operations.
The appointment expands Bell’s role at Penn Mutual, where he previously served as vice president of advanced sales. He has more than 20 years of experience in the life insurance and financial services industries.

O’Malley pointed to a tighter connection between product development and market strategy as a priority under Bell’s leadership.
Bell holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a member of the California Bar Association.
