PHILADELPHIA, PA — Evil Genius Beer Company is bringing back a lineup of 21st Amendment Brewery beers to coolers and taps ahead of the summer season, continuing production of several established craft offerings.
The Philadelphia-based brewer is reviving core 21st Amendment brands, including Hell or High Watermelon, Brew Free! or Die West Coast IPA, Brew Free! or Die Blood Orange IPA, and Amendment Lager.
The move follows an agreement that places Evil Genius in stewardship of the 21st Amendment brand, which was founded in San Francisco and helped popularize canned craft beer in the United States.
Evil Genius said the beers will return without changes to branding or recipes.
“No rebrands, no recipe changes,” said founder Luke Bowen. “This isn’t a big beer takeover. This is about two guys who love great beer ensuring the beer people genuinely love stays in their fridges.”
Additional 21st Amendment products, including Brew Free! or Die Juicy, Brew Free! or Die Hazy, El Sully, Fireside Chat, Pumpkin Haze, and Tall Hat Imperial IPA, are expected to return in the coming months.
The company also plans to introduce new products, including non-alcoholic versions of select 21st Amendment beers.
21st Amendment, which built a national following and ranked among the top 50 U.S. craft breweries by volume, has a significant customer base in Pennsylvania, which Evil Genius identified as its second-largest market.
Evil Genius, founded in 2011, distributes craft beer nationally and is known for its themed branding and product lineup.
