WASHINGTON, D.C. — The White House announced Friday that public tours will resume on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, just in time for the holiday season — complete with a refreshed route and Christmas décor personally curated by First Lady Melania Trump.
The reopening marks the public’s first opportunity in months to walk the storied halls of the People’s House, now adorned in holiday decorations designed to reflect “the spirit, warmth, faith, and hope of the season,” according to the announcement.
Guests touring in December will be treated to a view of the State Floor, where each room’s decorations will follow a unique, handcrafted theme. The First Lady’s team is said to have overseen the selection and arrangement of ornaments, garlands, and floral designs to create a festive experience that blends tradition with elegance.
Congressional offices can begin submitting requests for public tour slots beginning today, November 3, 2025. December tours will open on a rolling 30-day basis, while reservations for January 2026 are expected to become available in December.
Members of the public can request tours through their congressional representatives or visit whitehouse.gov/visit for more information.
The holiday reopening continues a long-standing White House tradition of welcoming Americans to experience its history and splendor during one of the most celebrated times of the year.
