PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced upcoming paving and bridge repair work on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) as part of a $41.3 million resurfacing and repair project covering nearly five miles in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
From 8:00 PM Friday, October 24, to 5:00 AM Monday, October 27, a lane closure will be in place on westbound I-76 between the U.S. 1 North (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive interchanges. Additionally, from 7:00 AM Monday, October 27, to 5:00 PM Friday, October 31, the ramp from westbound I-76 to U.S. 1 (City Avenue) will close for concrete and paving work.
PennDOT advises motorists to expect delays, follow posted detours, and allow extra travel time. All work is weather dependent.
