PHILADELPHIA, PA — South Philadelphia’s most anticipated autumn celebration is set to take over East Passyunk Avenue once again as the 13th annual East Passyunk Fall Fest returns on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Organized by Nice Things Handmade in partnership with the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, this all-ages, outdoor festival will stretch from Morris to Dickinson Streets, transforming the neighborhood into a pedestrian-friendly corridor filled with art, music, food, and Halloween fun.

Founded in 2012 by artist and shop owner Elissa Kara, Fall Fest has grown from a small community gathering into one of South Philadelphia’s defining seasonal events. “When I started Fall Fest, I just wanted to bring artists and neighbors together to celebrate creativity and community,” said Kara. “Thirteen years later, it’s become one of South Philly’s favorite traditions—a day that captures what makes this neighborhood so special: art, small business, families, and a lot of heart.”

More than 110 artists, makers, and local vendors will line the avenue alongside neighborhood businesses and community groups. Highlights include a South Philly-themed costume contest hosted by South Fellini, trick-or-treating for kids, live music, and pumpkin carving at The Gateway. Pets are also invited to join the festivities in the dog costume contest hosted by Monster Minders.

This year’s event also features a Halloween Yarn Pop-Up at the Singing Fountain with Drunken Knitwits and South Philly Yarn, family craft stations, and the return of the Creepy Crawl trick-or-treating trail sponsored by Acme Markets.

In addition to art and crafts, attendees can enjoy fall-themed food and beverages from local eateries and pop-ups—ranging from warm cider and bratwursts to Halloween-themed cocktails and sweets. Participating East Passyunk businesses will offer specials and sidewalk activities throughout the day, adding to the festival’s neighborhood charm.

“Fall Fest is our grand finale to the season,” Kara said. “It’s about celebrating local makers, supporting small businesses, and giving families a fun, safe way to enjoy Halloween on the Avenue.”

The event is free to attend and will be held rain or shine. Food, drinks, and select activities are pay-as-you-go. For updates, visit visiteastpassyunk.com/events/fall-fest or follow @nicethingshandmade and @eastpassyunk on social media.
