BUCKS COUNTY, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced overnight construction next week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships as part of a $116 million reconstruction and widening project.
From Sunday, October 12, through Friday, October 17, lane closures will be in place nightly from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM between Fairhill Avenue and the Route 132 (Street Road) Interchange.
The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 project to modernize and expand a three-mile section of the highway. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area. All work is weather dependent.
