Delaware State Police Investigating Newark Robbery Involving Teen Victim

NEWARK, DEDelaware State Police are investigating a robbery that left a teenager with minor injuries after an encounter with multiple suspects in Newark.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on October 1, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Christiana Road near Old Baltimore Pike. Police said a 16-year-old male was skateboarding in the area when he was approached by three unidentified male suspects.

Investigators reported that the suspects demanded the teen’s belongings, and a physical altercation followed. During the confrontation, the victim was struck with a metal object before the suspects fled with his property. The teen sustained minor injuries and later sought treatment at AI Dupont Hospital.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is continuing to investigate the case. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Detective D. Armstrong at (302) 365-8566. All suspects remain unidentified, and any arrestee or defendant in this case would be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
