Delaware State Police Investigating Wilmington Shooting

WILMINGTON, DEDelaware State Police, with assistance from the Wilmington Police Department, are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city.

Authorities reported that on September 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., troopers responded to the 3500 block of Miller Road following reports of shots fired involving a dark-colored sedan and a group of individuals.

According to the preliminary investigation, an occupied vehicle parked at a nearby business was struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported, and police stated that surveillance video and images are not currently available.

The Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing its investigation. Detectives urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to contact Detective J. Lucyk at 302-365-8446. Anonymous tips may also be provided through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.

All allegations remain under investigation, and any suspect, arrestee, or defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
