Major Pawlings Road Detour: How a Month-Long Closure Could Impact Your Commute

SCHUYLKILL TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that base repair work will close sections of Pawlings Road in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, and Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, beginning Thursday, October 2.

The closure will remain in place weekdays from October 2 through October 31, between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and Audubon Road. Work will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Northbound traffic will be detoured via Route 23, Route 29, and Egypt Road, while southbound traffic will follow a detour using Audubon Road, Route 363, U.S. 422, and Route 23. Local access will be maintained throughout the project.
