LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced upcoming lane closures next week on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township as part of a major reconstruction project.
From Monday, September 15, through Friday, September 19, westbound traffic will face lane restrictions between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastbound traffic will see closures during the same period between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The closures will allow crews to shift traffic onto newly built pavement within the construction zone. Drivers should expect backups and allow extra travel time. All work is dependent on weather conditions.
The activity is part of PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to rebuild 2.1 miles of U.S. 422 and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
