SHARON HILL, PA — The Sharon Hill Borough Police Department has announced the arrest of an 18-year-old Lansdowne man in connection with a vandalism incident involving multiple school district vehicles earlier this month.
According to police, officers responded to the 1400 block of Chester Pike on August 5, 2025, after receiving reports of damage at the Southeast Delco School District bus lot. Investigators determined that Joseph Bennett, along with a juvenile male, allegedly broke into the property and caused significant damage to several school buses.
Authorities report that Bennett surrendered to police on August 14, 2025, and is scheduled to appear before Judge Forbes at Darby District Court on September 3, 2025.
Bennett faces several charges, including theft by unlawful taking, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, trespass by motor vehicle, and unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles.
Police have not released the identity of the juvenile involved due to his age.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
