Pennsylvania DEP Offers Grants to Help Small Businesses Cut Energy Costs and Pollution

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is inviting small businesses to apply for funding through its Small Business Advantage Grant Program, which helps finance energy efficiency and pollution reduction projects.

The program offers reimbursement grants covering 50–80% of eligible costs for upgrades such as equipment replacement, process improvements, or measures to reduce runoff into waterways. Awards range from $7,500 to $12,000, with higher amounts available for projects in Environmental Justice Areas.

State Senator Carolyn Comitta said the grants can make otherwise unaffordable upgrades possible, helping businesses lower operating costs while advancing environmental goals.

“I encourage any local business looking to make these upgrades to apply for the program as we work to reduce costs and our energy use,” stated Comitta.
