Bridge Work to Close Newportville Road in Bucks County Through Late August

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will begin bridge construction on Newportville Road in Bristol and Bensalem townships starting Monday, August 11.

The project will require a full closure of Newportville Road between Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road. The closure will remain in effect 24 hours a day through Thursday, August 28. During this period, drivers will be detoured via Zimmerman Lane and New Falls Road. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses within the construction zone.
