OXFORD, PA — A routine welfare check involving a child led to the arrest of a West Grove woman on outstanding charges and the discovery of suspected narcotics, according to the Oxford Police Department.

On the morning of May 24, 2025, at approximately 7:52 a.m., Oxford officers were dispatched to the area of Market and Third Streets following a report of a small child standing alone on the sidewalk. Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the child described in the initial call.

During the course of the investigation, officers encountered a woman identified as 39-year-old Ashley Rodriguez of West Grove. A records check revealed that Rodriguez had an active bench warrant issued by Lancaster County. She was taken into custody at the scene.
