Nighttime Lane Closures Set for Geotechnical Drilling on I-95 and I-676

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced nighttime lane closures on two major highways in Center City Philadelphia. The closures are part of geotechnical drilling work scheduled to take place on sections of I-95 and I-676.

The temporary travel restrictions are planned as follows:

  • Southbound I-95: Lane closures will be in effect between the Aramingo Avenue Interchange and Market Street from Monday, June 2, through Thursday, June 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night.
  • Eastbound I-67: A single lane will close between 5th Street and I-95 during the same timeframe, from Monday, June 2, through Thursday, June 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM nightly.
