Route 3 Lane Closures Next Week: What Drivers Need to Know

Traffic Restrictions

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has scheduled lane closures on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township, Delaware County, for topsoil and seeding operations as part of an ongoing local safety improvement project.

From Monday, June 2, through Friday, June 6, a single lane in each direction will be closed between Boot Road and Ellis Avenue daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The closures are necessary to facilitate the final stages of the project.

Motorists traveling through or near this area are advised to allow additional travel time, as backups and delays are expected during the work hours. PennDOT has noted that all scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to adjustment if conditions change.
