NEWTOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that topsoil and seeding operations will take place next week on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township, Delaware County. The work is part of a local safety improvement project aimed at enhancing the roadway conditions in the area.
From Wednesday, May 28, through Friday, May 30, a single lane closure will be in effect daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The closures will impact both directions of Route 3 between Boot Road and Ellis Avenue, potentially causing travel delays during the scheduled hours.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time when driving near or through the construction zone, as traffic backups and delays are expected.
All scheduled activities are contingent upon weather conditions and may be adjusted if necessary.
