MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will conduct pipe replacement work next week on two key highways in Montgomery County, necessitating road closures and detours.
On Monday, May 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Maugers Mill Road will be closed between Farmington Avenue and Hanover Street in Upper Pottsgrove Township. During this time, drivers will be rerouted via Farmington Avenue, Moyer Road, Route 663 (Charlotte Street), and Maugers Mill Road.
From Wednesday, May 7, through Friday, May 9, also from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Bleim Road will be closed between Route 663 (Charlotte Street) and Kepler Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township. The designated detour will direct traffic through Kepler Road, Buchert Road, Washington Street, Mervine Street, and Route 663 (Charlotte Street).
Local access for residents near the work zones will remain in place. Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time, as delays and backups are expected. All scheduled work is weather dependent, with adjustments made as necessary.
