NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township as part of a local safety improvement project.
On Thursday, May 8, and Friday, May 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, both directions of Route 3 will experience lane closures between Boot Road and Ellis Avenue. Crews will be conducting topsoil and seeding operations during this time.
Motorists traveling through the area are advised to plan for delays and allow extra travel time, as traffic backups are expected. All construction activities are dependent on favorable weather conditions.
PennDOT encourages drivers to remain cautious while navigating work zones and to stay alert for adjustments to traffic patterns. These improvements are part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety along this stretch of Route 3.
