Lane Closures Announced for Pedestrian Bridge Paving on U.S. 1

Lane restrictions

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A.P. Construction, Inc. will begin paving work for the pedestrian bridge at St. Joseph’s University, impacting U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in both Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Starting Monday, April 28, and continuing through Friday, May 2, 24-hour weekday lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 between 59th Street and Lapsley Lane. These closures are expected to cause significant delays along the busy corridor.

Motorists are advised to plan extra travel time and exercise caution while driving through the work zone. Officials remind the public that the schedule for these activities is weather dependent.
