Traffic Signal Installation to Cause Lane Closures on Route 611

Lane restrictions

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced ongoing roadway construction on Route 611 (Broad Street) in Philadelphia as part of a local safety improvement initiative.

From Monday, March 17, through Friday, April 4, intermittent weekday lane closures will affect southbound Route 611 between Pattison Avenue and League Island Boulevard. Closures will occur between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM to allow for the installation of traffic signals.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time, as congestion is anticipated in the affected area. PennDOT has emphasized that all planned operations are contingent on weather conditions.
