LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced construction activities next week on U.S. 422 and Route 100 in North Coventry Township, Chester County. The work is part of an ambitious $83.6 million effort to reconstruct 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
From Monday, March 3, through Friday, March 7, motorists can expect periodic lane closures on U.S. 422 and Route 100. On westbound U.S. 422, single lane closures will occur between Route 100 and Keim Street from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily for sign construction. Similarly, eastbound U.S. 422 will experience lane closures between Keim Street and Route 100 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
Additionally, a lane closure is scheduled for northbound Route 100 near South Hanover Street on Monday, March 3, and Tuesday, March 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as guiderail installation takes place. Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and should allow extra time when traveling near these work zones. All construction plans are weather-dependent.
