Terrifying Armed Robbery at New Castle Dunkin Donuts—Suspect Still at Large

NEW CASTLE, DE — The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning at a Dunkin Donuts on North Dupont Highway.

At approximately 2:32 a.m. on February 23, troopers responded to the business, located at 4004 North Dupont Highway, following reports of a robbery. Investigators determined that a male suspect had entered the store and initially engaged in conversation with a female employee. Later, the suspect revealed a firearm and demanded money from the register.

The employee complied, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Although shaken, the store employee was not injured during the incident. Law enforcement conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

According to police, the suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slim build. Surveillance footage is currently unavailable as the investigation continues.

Officials remind the public that all allegations remain unproven until adjudicated in court.
