Chester County Job Board FAQs
Businesses & Recruiters
Q: Can I post my jobs to MyChesCo’s Chester County Job Board automatically?
A: Yes. There is a small, one-time administrative fee and we will need sample data. However, once that is done, we can automatically upload your XML feed. However, by using this convenience, you agree that all job posts are relevant to Chester County residents and that all listings do and will otherwise conform to our TOS. If you violate this agreement, we will terminate your service.
Q. How can I attract more applications for my job post?
A: It all comes down to good search engine optimization. The big benefit to posting on MyChesCo is that it is already optimized to attract visitors from the communities that you want to recruit from. That said, a good job post will be at least 300 words and include keywords specific to the job and your industry.
Q: How do I find the best keywords for my job post?
A: They are many online keyword tools available. However, it is not complicated. If you are recruiting for a nursing assistant, you will want to include words like “certified nursing assistant” and “CNA” in your post. You will also want to add if the job is for “assisted living”, “skilled”, or “long-term care”.
Q: How can I update a filled job or refresh the posting if is about to expire?
A: You just need to visit the Job Dashboard while logged in. There you will see a full list of your Chester County jobs. You can then Edit, Mark filled, Duplicate, or Delete any listing.
Q: How long will a job post stay active?
A: All jobs posts will automatically become inactive after 30 days. If the job has yet to be filled, you will need to Duplicate the listing, which will essentially refresh the post on the job board.
Q: Why should I use MyChesCo rather than Indeed or SimplyHired?
A: You shouldn’t. You should use MyChesCo in addition to those paid services. However, you do need to understand what those job websites actually do for you. They promise to place your ad on hundreds of job boards and will list a few choice names like Monster, Jobster, Job.com, and LiveCareer. But many of the job boards on their list are worthless to you. On the other hand, MyChesCo is specifically for Chester County residents. Plus, since we are completely free, there is nothing to lose.
Q: How do I know you are for real?
This website is owned and operated by a sole proprietor. Timothy Alexander is a lifelong resident of Chester County. If you would like to meet Tim in person, just drop us a line. We are all neighbors.
What haven’t we covered that is important to you? If you have questions or would like to talk about the MyChesCo’s Chester County Job Board, please contact us.
