Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association Announces 2026 Event Schedule

HARRISBURG, PA — The Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association announced key dates for major horse racing events across the state in 2026, highlighting races at six tracks throughout the spring and summer season.

The association said the schedule includes several marquee events featuring thoroughbred and harness racing, with activities planned for fans at venues statewide.

Among the listed events is Super Sunday at Harrah’s Philadelphia Racetrack in Chester on May 24, which will feature the Maxie Lee Trot, the Joseph Auger Memorial Pace and the Betsy Ross Pace.

Penn National Racecourse in Grantville will host the Penn Mile on May 29, a Grade 3 race for three-year-olds with a $400,000 purse, along with additional stakes races.

Parx Racing in Bensalem will hold PA Day at the Races on July 18, focusing on races restricted to Pennsylvania-bred thoroughbreds.

The Meadows Racetrack in Washington is scheduled to host the Delvin Miller Adios Pace on July 25, a major harness racing event for three-year-old pacers.

Mohegan Pennsylvania Racetrack in Wilkes-Barre will hold Sun Stakes Saturday on August 22, featuring more than $2 million in purses across multiple races.

Presque Isle Downs in Erie will host the Masters Stakes on September 18, including the $300,000 Grade II Presque Isle Masters and the $150,000 Presque Isle Mile.

Parx Racing will also host the Pennsylvania Derby on September 19, with the Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion Stakes each offering $1 million purses.

The association said the events are part of a broader schedule of hundreds of race days across Pennsylvania tracks.
