CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers in Uwchlan and West Whiteland townships should prepare for daytime detours beginning later this month as Aqua Pennsylvania conducts utility construction along Whitford Road.

Whitford Road will be closed to through traffic on weekdays between Huffman Drive and Devon Drive while crews perform utility improvements in the area.
Drivers will be directed to use Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 100 (Pottstown Pike), Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue), and Crump Road to move around the closure.
Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses within the work zone. Motorists traveling near the area should plan extra time and expect delays during the daytime closure period.
PennDOT noted that all scheduled work is weather dependent and may change if conditions require.
