EAST WHITELAND TWP, PA — Drivers should prepare for midday disruptions next week as PennDOT closes a key turn lane on Route 29 (Morehall Road) for ongoing sinkhole remediation work.

PennDOT said the turn lane from Route 29 onto Quarry Hill Road will be closed during work hours as crews stabilize subsurface conditions beneath the roadway.
Drivers will be directed to use Atwater Drive as an alternate route during the closure.
Motorists should expect significant backups in the area, particularly during midday travel. Plan extra time or seek alternate routes when traveling through East Whiteland Township.
The work is part of a long-term effort to address recurring sinkhole issues along the Route 29 corridor by injecting grout beneath the roadway to stabilize underground voids.
