UWCHLAN TWP — Drivers traveling through northern Chester County should prepare for daytime delays Wednesday as utility work tied to the Pennsylvania Turnpike restricts traffic along Route 113.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, periodic lane closures with flagging will be in effect on Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) between Gordon Drive and Lionville Station Road from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18.
Both northbound and southbound lanes will be impacted at various times throughout the work window. Flaggers will direct traffic through the active work zone, but motorists should expect slowdowns and intermittent backups, particularly during late-morning and early-afternoon travel periods.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is completing the utility work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. All activities are weather dependent and could be adjusted if conditions change.
Commuters are strongly encouraged to plan extra time, especially if traveling through the Lionville area during peak daytime hours. Consider seeking alternate routes where possible to avoid potential congestion.
