CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of temporary road closures across Chester County beginning Monday, July 21, to conduct essential pipe replacement and base repair work. The operations are part of ongoing infrastructure maintenance aimed at improving roadway safety and longevity.
On Monday, July 21, Brandywine Drive will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Route 162 (Telegraph Road) and Northbrook Road in Newlin and West Bradford townships. A posted detour will guide motorists via Route 162, Sugarsbridge Road, and Northbrook Road.
From Monday, July 21, through Wednesday, July 23, White School Road in Honey Brook Township will be closed daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Maple Street and Homestead Road for pipe replacement. Detoured traffic will use Pleasant View Road, Buchanan Road, and Homestead Road.
Northbrook Road in West Bradford Township will close between Brandywine Drive and Route 162 (Strasburg Road) from Tuesday, July 22, through Friday, July 25, during the same daily work hours. Detours will follow Route 162, Sugarsbridge Road, Telegraph Road, and Brandywine Drive.
Additionally, overnight closures are scheduled for Cambridge Road in Honey Brook Township from Tuesday, July 29, through Thursday, July 31, between Route 10 (Compass Road) and U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike). This section will be closed from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning.
Local access will be maintained throughout all closures. Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan accordingly. All activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
