Pothole Repairs Could Slow Drivers Across Chester County

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers across Chester County should expect intermittent lane closures and slowdowns next week as PennDOT crews repair potholes on several major state highways throughout the region.

PennDOT maintenance crews will conduct pothole repairs along multiple highways in Chester County, including sections of U.S. 1 in Lower Oxford and Upper Oxford townships and U.S. 30 along the Coatesville–Downingtown Bypass through Valley, West Brandywine, Caln, East Caln, and Sadsbury townships.

Additional repair work is scheduled along U.S. 30 Business (Lincoln Highway) in East Caln and West Whiteland townships, U.S. 202 through West Goshen, East Goshen, and Tredyffrin townships, and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in East Goshen and West Goshen townships.

Crews will also repair pavement along Route 23 (Ridge Road) in East Vincent Township, Route 113 (Kimberton Road) in Phoenixville Borough and Schuylkill Township, and Route 472 (Lancaster Pike) in Lower Oxford Township.

Motorists traveling through these areas should expect intermittent lane closures, slow-moving traffic, and short-term delays while crews patch deteriorated pavement. Drivers are encouraged to plan extra travel time and remain alert in active work zones.

PennDOT said its District 6 crews have already responded to more than 2,900 pothole reports since January 1 and have used more than 740 tons of asphalt for repairs across the five-county Philadelphia region.
