EAST BRANDYWINE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced the closure of Bondsville Road in East Brandywine Township, Chester County, for geotechnical boring work starting Monday, July 7.
The road will be closed and detoured 24/7 between Hadfield Road and Route 340 (East Kings Highway) from July 7 through Friday, July 11. During the closure, motorists will be directed to follow a detour using Bailey Road and Route 340 (East Kings Highway). Local access will remain available up to the work zones.
Drivers are urged to plan extra travel time while navigating the detour, as significant traffic backups and delays are expected near the work areas.
This closure is part of PennDOT’s ongoing infrastructure evaluations to support future safety and road improvements in the region. All scheduled work is weather dependent.
