No formal detour has been announced, but drivers should expect congestion through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes where possible, including using Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) to bypass the closure area.

Plan extra time and expect backups, particularly during peak overnight travel hours. All work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled if conditions change.

The work is part of a $9.3 million PennDOT project aimed at improving safety and extending the life of the roadway. Crews will mill the existing pavement, complete base repairs, apply new asphalt overlay, reinstall rumble strips, and refresh pavement markings along the western section of the bypass.
