TREDYFFRIN TWP, PA — Drivers in Chester County should prepare for overnight detours next week as PECO Energy performs utility construction along the northbound lanes of Route 252 (Bear Hill Road).

Weather permitting, northbound Route 252 will be closed overnight between Lancaster Avenue and Friendship Drive while crews complete utility improvement work.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to follow one of two posted detour routes. Motorists may use U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue), Old Lancaster Road, Howellville Road, and Cassatt Road to bypass the closure.

An alternate detour will guide drivers along Swedesford Road, Route 29 (Morehall Road), and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue).

Local access will be maintained at all times. However, drivers traveling through the area during the overnight work hours should expect delays along the detour routes and near the work zone.
