PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing and pavement repair operations will take place across five southeastern counties, affecting key travel corridors in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. The work is part of a large-scale effort to repair and repave more than 200 miles of state highways.

In Philadelphia, lane closures will occur daily and overnight from Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, for line painting on Chestnut Street, Walnut Street, Penn Square, and Oregon Avenue.

In Bucks County, lane closures with flagging will take place along U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and Knights Road in Bensalem Township from Monday, November 3, through Saturday, November 8.

PennDOT urges motorists to plan ahead, allow extra time, and use caution when traveling through work zones, as backups and delays are likely. All schedules are weather dependent.

These resurfacing projects aim to improve road durability, reduce maintenance needs, and provide motorists with smoother and safer travel conditions throughout the region.
