CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that base repair operations will require daytime closures on sections of Goshen Road and Strasburg Road in Willistown and East Goshen townships beginning Monday, September 15.
From Monday, September 15, through Wednesday, September 17, Goshen Road will be closed between Boot Road and Delchester Road from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Traffic will be detoured to Boot Road, Route 3 (West Chester Pike), and Delchester Road.
From Thursday, September 18, through Monday, September 22, both Strasburg Road and Goshen Road will be closed on weekdays between Delchester Road and Route 352 (Chester Road) during the same daytime hours. Detours will direct traffic to Delchester Road, Route 3, and Route 352.
Finally, from Tuesday, September 23, through Thursday, September 25, Strasburg Road will close between Route 352 and Route 3. Vehicles will be detoured via Route 352 and Route 3.
Local access will remain available, but PennDOT advised motorists to plan for delays and allow extra time when traveling near the work zones.
