CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers traveling through the busy U.S. 202 and Route 926 intersection should prepare for daytime delays over the next two weeks as PennDOT continues construction aimed at improving traffic flow and safety.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, a weekday lane closure with flagging will be in place through the intersection as crews perform construction activities.
Motorists traveling through Thornbury and Westtown townships should plan extra time and expect delays as traffic is directed through the work zone.
The project includes adding a new southbound right-turn deceleration lane on U.S. 202 and installing a second eastbound left-turn lane on Route 926 to create a double left-turn configuration.
Additional improvements include signal upgrades, ADA curb ramp installation, and milling and paving operations designed to improve safety and traffic flow.
PennDOT noted that all scheduled work is weather dependent and may change if conditions require.
