WEST CHESTER, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that weekday lane closures will continue this fall on Business U.S. 322 (High Street) as part of a long-term project to improve safety along the corridor in West Chester Borough and West Goshen Township.
Through Wednesday, December 31, a lane closure with flagging will be in place between University Avenue and Sharpless Street from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each weekday. Drivers should expect backups and allow extra travel time.
The $2.6 million project includes new traffic signals, retroreflective backplates, LED lighting, pedestrian countdown timers, curb extensions, upgraded crosswalks, drainage improvements, and full roadway resurfacing. Work is being carried out by Marino Corporation of Skippack and is funded entirely with federal dollars. Construction is expected to conclude in winter 2026.
