CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced line striping operations on multiple state highways in Chester County throughout the month of June.

The work will necessitate periodic weekday lane closures from Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 30. The closures will take place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the following locations:

  • Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Route 82 (Strode Avenue) intersection in the City of Coatesville.
  • U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass) ramps at the intersection with Airport Road in Valley Township.
  • U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass) ramps at the intersection with Reeceville Road in Caln Township.
  • U.S. 30 ramps at the intersection with Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) in West Whiteland Township.

Motorists should plan for potential delays and allow for extra travel time through these areas, as traffic congestion is likely to occur during work hours.

The project is being managed by Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, with full funding provided by federal sources. PennDOT advises that all operations are weather dependent and subject to change if conditions require.

Drivers are reminded to remain alert and exercise caution when traveling near work zones to ensure the safety of both construction crews and other motorists.
